The Rocky Mountain Minutemen are law-abiding
Americans who realize the threat that illegal immigration represents to our
country. Like the Minutemen of our country's founding, we have discarded
our plows and are rallying to face this new challenge. This is a struggle
to preserve the principles that founded this great nation. For those of us
who are not on the border, it is an attempt to uphold the rule of law and
to protect our communities from the influx of illegals.
We are proud to defend our unique American heritage.
There have been recent demonstrations and
boycotts demanding that our government grant amnesty and citizenship to
illegal aliens. We dismiss granting
status to illegal aliens above and ahead of law abiding immigrants who are
working within the system to gain citizenship. There are people who
actually believe that we owe illegal aliens rights equal to citizens! We
feel that illegals are owed due process,
punishment or deportation as prescribed by law. Illegal aliens should be treated as
lawbreakers and not be granted consideration beyond reasonable humanitarian
concerns.
Illegals enter our country at will. Terrorists and drug cartels
cross our border with impunity. American citizens on the border have been
killed or their property destroyed. The environments of National Parks
and Preserves at the border are being damaged. It is this anarchy at our
borders and the pressures on our communities that are luring Congress into
granting amnesty and citizenship to illegals. We
intend to use all possible lawful means to resist this blackmail.
Some illegal immigrant activists are
attempting to inject racial, linguistic and cultural differences into this
debate. Many Americans are buying into this diversion. These activists
worship at the altar of multiculturalism and diversity gone astray. The
impression is projected that Americans are in the wrong, and that only they
have the moral high ground. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are
not against immigration by people from other countries, whatever their
race, language, culture or ethnicity. We fear that America is evolving into a
nation of two competing cultures and languages, which is a direct result of
illegal immigration. Our concern is not Hispanic citizens, those with
lawful visas, or documented workers. We are against illegal immigration in
all forms.
We will fight this war with ideas and ideals
that are superior to anything that socialists, globalists, or multinational entities would
force upon us. They seek to plunder
our nation's wealth and prosperity, and to put their own form
of government ruling supreme. America's sovereignty
is an impediment to their goals.
Their agenda is not one of liberty for all. It is not based upon
Christian charity. Under the guise of humanitarianism and multiculturalism,
activists seek what is not theirs to give, and would redistribute it for
their own purposes. These people are beyond misguided or foolish. They
represent a direct threat to America. Those who would open
our country to mass immigration and a borderless society are, in essence,
domestic enemies of our Republic. Instead of fighting corrupt
governments from which illegal immigrants flee, they would change our
country into a third world giant, incapable of providing prosperity for
either citizens or the tide of illegals. America's
sovereignty would be rendered a mere line on a map, devoid of history
or heritage. They will fail because truth and exposure are their greatest
enemies.
Currently, the struggle in Colorado
and the other interior Rocky Mountain States
is one of public awareness and getting people to demand that our
representatives act on our behalf, not the illegal alien's. Our goal is to
develop a group of like minded individuals who will not hesitate to notify
authorities if they witness illegals in our
neighborhoods. We strive to build a network to work with
law enforcement and our public agencies to enforce our laws. We want
citizens to sound the alarm by contacting our congressman, by using the
media to inform the public, and by developing strategies to offset the
adverse effects illegal immigration place upon our communities. Our task
is to reaffirm the rule of law as the foundation upon which our society
abides.
America was not created, built or sustained by illegal
immigrants. It has not been a nation of limitless flags, competing
cultures, with a Babel
of languages. America is
a sovereign nation that was created by the blood of its patriots and the
tears of its mothers. It was built by our backs and the sweat of our
brows. It should and will remain one nation, under one flag, with one
language, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all........citizens
and legal immigrants.
